We recognise that the use technology is a vital part of modern life, and that children need to develop a wide range of skills to enable them to make best use of this. In order to achieve this, children learn to use and apply a variety of systems that handle information, including simple programming of devices. This includes the use of computers but also control boxes and programmable robots like ‘Roamer’. Interactive whiteboard technology is available in classrooms and used to enhance learning.
The children have access to our large computer suite and there are networked computers in each classroom. Each curriculum area is well resourced with computer software which enhances teaching and learning. In addition we have a range of mobile technology, such as netbooks and ipads, so that children can easily use technology as a tool to enhance their learning across the curriculum.
