St Oswald's Church of England Primary School has been at the heart of our community for very many years, yet our passion for providing the very best education, underpinned by a strong Christian ethos, remains undiminished. We seek not only to support our children to achieve outstanding academic standards but also to encourage strong personal development so that they have the skills, characteristics and capability to make the most of their learning both here and in the wider world. In all we do we work towards enabling the children to become rounded, positive members of today's world, with the self belief, confidence and determination to make their unique contribution to our community and beyond.

St Oswald's is a warm and welcoming school where children feel happy, safe and well supported. We have high expectations of every child and so the school has a calm and ordered atmosphere with a very high standard of behaviour. We understand the importance of our partnership with parents to enable the children to fulfil their potential and we operate an open-door policy where parents feel welcome to visit the school at any time.

The school offers an excellent learning environment with facilities that include a very well-maintained building and extensive school grounds including a garden area, two playgrounds and a large sports field. We always strive to deliver inspiring and innovative teaching to the highest standards, utilising a rich range of resources including IT to enable the children to engage most effectively with their learning. We offer wrap around care with Before and After school provision at a small cost for those families that require this service.
