PSHCE (personal, social, health and citizenship education) and SEAL (social and emotional aspects of learning)
PSHCE is taught through SEAL along with the discrete teaching of health education. Every half-term the whole school focuses on a different theme. Children learn through a variety of activities, including role play and circle time. Lessons aim to help children develop strategies for dealing with, and managing, their own emotions as well as helping them to develop better relationships. We also aim to give children a greater understanding of the society in which they live, encouraging them to value and respect cultural diversity.
